We welcome you to Lapua Film and Art Festival on the 1st of September 2022!
For film submissions we use FilmFreeway.
Create your own account on FilmFreeway. Upload your film in full HD. Your FilmFreeway account comes with unlimited storage. Choose Lapua Art and Film Festival and submit your film. All applications must be made before the submission closing date. The festival charges an application fee. This is an administrative fee and does not guarantee that the film will be selected. The entry fee is non-refundable. Unfortunately, we don’t have the possibility to return the DVD’s, or to leave detailed feedback on your film other than accepted/not accepted. The program committee’s decision of accepted/not accepted will be announced to you on 30th of June 2022 or earlier and winners will be announced on 3rd of September 2022.

FESTIVAL
LAPUA ART AND FILM FESTIVAL is considered a culture high level event in Lapua, Finland. The festival aims to welcome the audience and the film makers to be part of four days of screenings, panels, special events, and very SPECIAL RED-CARPET EVENT.
LAFF creates a wonderful screening environment allowing participants to feature their films in the high-quality venues available to the audience in Lapua. The festival consists of two parts, festival days and screening pools. The festival will screen the selected films in festival days and in the screening pool days.
All films submitted to the Lapua Art and Film Festival, are first reviewed by our festival selection committee. Films produced 2018 – 2022 of any genres are accepted for submission. English subtitle is needed for the films that have any other language than english or finnish. This task is a big undertaking and the selection committee thoroughly expects and evaluates hundreds of submissions. Through a process of elimination, films will be chosen to be screened at the festival and festival’s special events.
USE OF SUBMITTED MATERIAL
The festival can use all the material that is submitted to the festival including the posters and trailers without special permission. The festival owns unlimited screening rights for the selected films. No screening fees will be paid. The festival owns the rights, not to screen all the selected films. The festival holds the right to screen all selected movies in the festival sub-events.
The Lapua -trophy is available to be sent to the winners all around the world. However, the receiver is responsible for any damage or loss of the sent trophy. Notice that the shipping cost should be paid and arranged by the winner. Notice the festival have the rights to change or update the shape and the material of the trophies.
IMPORTANT!
Selected films will be downloaded.
PLEASE make the access to the download link as soon as you receive the selection status (the film and the promo). The films that can’t be downloaded, will be withdrawn from the program.
